Himesh Jitendra Patel (born 13 October 1989) is an English actor, known for his role as Tamwar Masood in the BBC soap opera EastEnders, which he played from 2007 to 2016. Most recently he gained notability from starring in his first major film role Yesterday. Patel was born on 13 October 1989 in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire as Himesh Jitendra Patel. He attended Prince William School & Sixth Form in Oundle, Northamptonshire. His mother is from Zambia and his father is from Kenya.
